Doctor of Dental Surgery

Q. If you could talk to any animal species, what would it be and why?
A. Dolphins because they are intelligent ocean divers.

Dr. Roholt received his undergraduate and pre-dental education from the University of Minnesota and San Jose State University before obtaining his dental degree at the University of CA San Francisco School of Dentistry in 1989. He has since engaged in extensive postgraduate education, achieving Mastership in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.

Dr. Roholt is also certified in the Pinhole Surgical Technique(tm) for minimally invasive gum surgery and has attended the Dawson Academy for training in TMJ disorders. He is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Roholt is passionate about serving his local community as a member of the board of Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital Foundation for 6 years and was instrumental in helping the local State Theater during its remodel and expansion.

He and his wife Tina are very proud of their two grown children, and in his spare time, he enjoys artwork, vacations, and working on their property taking care of their goats and pig (Arnold!).

Dr. Roholt is also a provider of multiple types of implant-supported dentures for full mouth reconstruction. His new office is equipped with a 3D CBCT and all digital technology that supports guided implant surgery for accurate implant placement.

Dr. Roholt was one of the first 100 dentists worldwide to be certified in the Pinhole Surgical Technique(tm) for minimally invasive gum surgery. He attended the Panky Institute and Dawson Academy for training to treat complex TMJ disorders. In 2017, he co-presented a lecture to the International Academy of Dental Research on the technique he developed, "Dual Cure, Bulk Fill, Posterior Composites". He is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, International Congress of Oral Implantologists, American Academy of CranioFacial Pain, and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.

Q. If you had a warning label, what would it say?
A. Danger: Can get sassy!

Dr. Marr is a graduate of the University of California, Davis, and the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. She has postgraduate education in Invisalign, sleep apnea and dental appliance therapy, and recent training in oral cancer screening relating to HPV. This allows her to provide her patients with more comprehensive dental screenings and evaluations.

She is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association and Sacramento District Dental Society. In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering at her children’s schools, spending time with her family, and discovering new local restaurants with her husband, Cory.

Q. What is your most unusual talent?
A. I play the trombone

Dr. J. Peter Vandewalker is a native of the Loomis Basin area, graduated from Del Oro High School in 2000, received a BS in biology from the University of the Pacific in 2004 and received his DDS from UOP Dugoni School of Dentistry in 2008. While on active duty from 2008-2016 with the USAF, Dr. Vandewalker completed two residencies: a one year Advanced Education in General Dentistry and a rigorous 2 year Comprehensive Dentistry with a Masters in Oral Biology from the Uniformed Services University, Health Sciences residency. The research he completed was published in the highly accredited Journal of General Dentistry in 2016.

In 2015, Dr. Vandewalker successfully challenged the American Board of General Dentistry to become a Diplomate; an accomplishment that less than 1% of general dentists have attained! In addition, Dr. Vandewalker has been invited back multiple times by the ABGD to administer the oral board exam, an honor held by only the top Diplomates of the ABGD.

Dr. Vandewalker returned home to family and friends in 2017 to offer the area in which he grew up his dental expertise. It was here he met the love of his life, Amanda. Since marrying in 2018, Dr. Vandewalker and his wife Amanda have welcomed two beautiful children into this world: Octavia and Grant. Amanda has also become a wonderful stepmother to Dr. Vandewalker's four children: Sabrina, Kai, Nora, and Jack. When they say "The Vandewalkers bring the party!", they truly mean the Vandewalkers bring the party!

Dr. Vandewalker is committed to excellence in his chosen field of comprehensive dentistry as well as providing his patients with a comfortable and gentle dental experience. Pier 210 Dental Group is proud to have Dr. Vandewalker as a member of our team and we value the skill set he continually works to enhance for the benefit of his patients.

Q. If you join the circus, what would you perform?
A. The "ringmaster" of course!

I’m excited to work at Pier 210 Dental and love all that it has to offer the employees, patients and our community. I’ve been serving Pier 210 as office manager for the past few years. Prior to that, I worked in the back office helping many of our patients as a Registered Dental Assistant. Combined with over 20 years of corporate and customer service, I’m looking forward to helping you in any way that I can. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or request. In my spare time you will catch me dining out, going to the movies, camping and watching our kids play sports, or any other odd thing that just pops up!

Q. If you could talk to any animal species, what would it be and why?
A. Cats, so I could know what they think.

I'm Lisa and I grew up in Rocklin, California. I have four children and two granddaughters. I love greeting our patients as they arrive and informing them about their appointments and their dental treatment options. A funny thing about me is that I get the hiccups DAILY, always in the afternoon and they always sound really funny! I've tried many hiccup cures...they never work for me.

Brittany Williamson

A. Hold my children close and tell them how much mommy loves them.

I'm from the bay area but settled in the foothills. I have twin boys that are five, another boy that is four and a daughter that is two. I love to cook, bake and garden. I also like to wine taste and take road trips. I absolutely love the water. My favorite place to be is the ocean or a lake or river.

Q. If you could ask the absolute truth to one question, what would you ask?
A. Does the tree that falls alone in the forest make a sound, or not?

Hello, my name is Mike. I have been a registered dental hygienist since 2008. I started working at Pier 210 Dental in April of 2009. Our new office is easy and fun to work in since we have all the latest technology. Mainly though, I’ve enjoyed getting to know my patients and their families. I enjoy all of nature, the foothills and outdoor activities. When I am not enjoying the great outdoors, you will find me spending quality time with my friends and family. Hi there, my name is Marianne; you will find me assisting the doctors with our wonderful Pier 210 patients and I really love it! My days go by very quickly and I'm always learning something new. Speaking of new learning, one of my future goals is to become a Registered Dental Assistant. When I am not at Pier 210, I love spending time with my kids, grand kids and friends. I enjoy being outside, where I work in my garden. Now, you will find me with my new sidekick, Axel, my Cane Corso puppy. He brings me so much joy!

Allie Bear

Q. If you could change your name what would your new name be and why?
A. I would keep my name as it is because my Dad named me and he is my favorite human.

My name is Alexandra Bear. Yes, Bear is indeed my last name and I prefer to be called Allie. I have loads of energy, however sometimes I take on too many tasks in a single day; I bite off more than I can chew! I am a decent artist and I love food; I try not to bite off more than I can chew in this instance! If there were only two hours left on earth I would actually try to eat all of my favorite foods from all the best restaurants; here, due to time constraints, I might bite off more than I would be able to chew! I grew up in Granite Bay and graduated from Portland State University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree. One day, I hope to get into Dental School. When I am not at Pier 210, you can find me working out or coaching at my former All-Star Cheer gym.
